For reliable and available installations
Reliant Group supports industrial companies and technical departments in maintaining and improving machines, drives and control installations.
Our service activities mainly focus on existing installations. We assist with maintenance, faults, technical support and smaller modifications.
In doing so, we do not only look at the immediate problem, but also at the cause and the possible consequences for the rest of the installation.
Maintenance
Good maintenance helps prevent faults, unplanned downtime and premature wear.
We carry out maintenance on electrical installations, drives and industrial control systems. We check the condition and operation of the installation and identify potential issues before they lead to failure.
Our maintenance activities may include:
-
Inspection of switchgear and control cabinets
-
Inspection of frequency converters and soft starters
-
Inspection of motors, brakes and drives
-
Inspection of connections and cabling
-
Functional testing of controls and safety systems
-
Replacement of worn or obsolete components
-
Support during maintenance shutdowns
-
Recording findings and points for improvement
Support for technical departments
Not every technical department always has sufficient capacity or specialist knowledge for every installation.
Reliant Group can provide temporary or structural support for electrical engineering and automation activities.
We can assist with:
-
Maintenance work
-
Technical inspections
-
Fault investigation
-
Conversion work
-
Testing of installations
-
Software modifications
-
Commissioning
-
Preparation and execution of maintenance shutdowns
-
Supervision of external suppliers
We work together with the technical department and align with the company’s working methods and safety procedures.
Faults
A fault needs to be resolved as quickly as possible, but a fast restart alone is not always enough.
We investigate where the fault originates and assess whether it is an electrical, software-related, mechanical or process-related problem.
Our fault-finding activities may include:
-
Reading and analysing PLC systems
-
Inspection of frequency converters and drives
-
Investigation of sensors and instrumentation
-
Inspection of electrical protection systems
-
Measurements on motors and cabling
-
Analysis of communication and network problems
-
Adjusting settings or software
-
Testing the installation after repair
Where possible, we also advise on measures to prevent recurrence.
Minor modifications and adjustments
Production processes are constantly changing. Sometimes this does not require a completely new project, but it does require a targeted modification to the existing installation.
We carry out modifications such as:
-
Adding or modifying sensors
-
Adjusting PLC software
-
Modifying an HMI operator screen
-
Installing or replacing a frequency converter
-
Modifying motor controls
-
Expanding a control cabinet
-
Adjusting safety systems and interlocks
-
Adding signals and alarms
-
Modifying cabling and connections
-
Replacing components that are no longer available
Even with a relatively small modification, we pay attention to safety, documentation and the impact on the rest of the installation.
Modernisation of existing installations
Older machines and installations can often continue to operate for many years, while parts of the control system are no longer available or no longer sufficiently reliable.
In that case, targeted modernisation can be a good alternative to complete replacement.
We can assist with, for example:
-
Replacement of obsolete PLC systems
-
Replacement of frequency converters
-
Conversion of old operator panels to modern HMI systems
-
Replacement of relay-based control systems
-
Improvement of fault messages and diagnostics
-
Updating electrical diagrams
-
Improving maintainability
